In addition to your doctor, physical therapist and chiropractic care, we will find the best complimentary treatment for your individualized needs. Rest-assured, I listen, and a level of comfort will be respected. Most of my work is focused on the deeper layers of tissue where most chronic pain resides. Rotator-cuff injuries, painful scar tissue, headaches and migraines, or you are just tired of being in pain - please look no further. Whiplash and neck pain from years ago, or plantar fasciitis that won’t go away. If you have anything that is chronic and won’t go away - I want to see it. I love the investigation of injuries and finding the best route to success. I’m glad to say, after 15 years, my passion still lies in the art of bodywork. I graduated, certified and licensed myself in the state of Oregon and this great nation. Exhausted by my search for a passion I took on a little more debt and attended East-West College of Healing Arts.

I moved to Portland, OR for undergrad and took an honest look at Physical Therapy, but after further research, internships, and loads of college debt, I found the field to be overrun by insurance companies. Unfortunately, the arrogance and attitudes of athletes pushed me away. I played baseball, studied and wrapped ankles, elbows, knees and toes. I studied Athletic Training out of high school and received an AA from the College of Southern Idaho. Fellow players would ask me to rub their arm - then they kept asking. I suppose my big start was in Little League Baseball. With that, the limits will be pushed, but not over stepped. Side note: Much of this therapy is designed to increase blood flow and alter the bodies response to pain. Used in general areas, cupping can be detoxifying and has been shown to have great success with various sleep issues. It is highly effective, when used in localized areas and is a technique I use to separate the layers of tissue and to increase blood and nerve flow. Cupping is a 3000 year old practice used in Chinese medicine.

Trigger- points can help find the source of the pain and recruit your central nervous system to continue working on those areas. For example, those with headaches, migraines, TMJ disorder, shoulder and rotator cuff issues that present as tingling or referred pain to the hand(s). When done correctly, pressure applied in specific areas can create referral patterns (slight pain sent to other areas). Trigger-point therapy is an effective application for many situations.
